AgFarm celebrates the success of its revolutionary product Alloy (Glufosinate-ammonium 13.5% SL) and planning to launch in more states

The new generation broad-spectrum non-selective post-emergence herbicide of AgFarm is hard on stubborn weeds such as Cyperus Rotundus, Echinochloa Sp, Borreria Hispida, Imperata Cylindrica and is safe for the soil.

One of India’s emerging pesticide companies, AgFarm, recently launched its revolutionary product Alloy in Andhra Pradesh. Alloy, a herbicide developed with the formulation of Glufosinateammonium 13.5% SL, is highly effective against a wide variety of weeds. It kills irrelevant plants in more than 100 crops by inhibition of glutamine synthetase (GS).

Glufosinate-ammonium is a non-selective broad-spectrum herbicide that is highly soluble in water and has a low risk of leaching to groundwater. The formulation is well-known for its safety in yields when applied as per label instruction, making it possible to achieve a balance between environment, economy, and social prosperity.

The formulation gives compelling results in tea, and cotton plants majorly. Cotton is one of the most essential fiber crops, which amplifies the textile industry globally.

Being a Kharif crop

Being a Kharif crop, cotton extensively exhausts the fertility of the soil, thus, the application of fertilisers and manures becomes crucial. During the cropping season, nearly 65 per cent of the area covered under cotton is disturbed due to inconsistent rains, exposing it to a severe attack of weeds such as Cynodon Dactylon, and Cyperus Rotundus, Echinochloa Sp, among others.
